A CLOSER LOOK · DECKS & OUTDOOR LIVING

A little more character.

Changes in board direction bring pattern to this timber deck. An overhead photograph and a second angle show the framed sections, angled perimeter and decorative wood rails against a wooded backdrop.

WHAT THE PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW

A pattern shaped by the perimeter.

The overhead view makes the board layout clear. Straight border and divider boards separate the surface into distinct sections, with diagonal boards adding pattern near the angled edge.

The second view brings the railings and the relationship to the brick wall into focus. This elevated angle shows how the board pattern relates to the brick wall and the angled perimeter.
